How to change Mercedes key battery?
There are a few things that you need to know about your Mercedes key. Before proceeding to the battery replacement, find out what type of key you have.

A SmartKey requires 2 CR 2025 batteries, same too for the older chrome key. Follow the process below for battery replacement:
- Pull the latch at the end of the key holder
- Put your key horizontally into the open slot
- Take the battery compartment out
- Replace the existing CR 2025 batteries with two new ones
