What airlines offer First Responder discounts?
No airlines currently offer specific First Responder discounts but many airlines provide military discounts.
United Airlines' WeSalute+ programme gives a 5% discount on flights originating in the US or Canada to serving military personnel, military veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families.
Southwest Airlines offers discounted military and government fares to its passengers. These discounts are not available online and you must call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792) to book military fares.
Frontier Airlines waives baggage fees for US military service members who present a Common Access Card (CAC) or an Armed Forces of the United States Identification Card. This entitles you to one free personal item, one free carry-on bag and two free checked bags.
Air Canada has a similar service for active and retired members of the Canadian and US military services. Eligible passengers can check up to three pieces of checked baggage free of charge.
