Is my Tesla locked?

To find out if your Tesla is locked, try to open your Tesla’s doors from the outside. If you can’t open the door, it means that it is locked. There are different methods to lock your Tesla, down below are 3 methods:

  1. Using the Tesla app: If you have the Tesla app downloaded on your Apple or Android device, you can use it to lock and unlock your car remotely. To do this, simply open the app and navigate to the "Controls" tab. From there, you should see an icon that looks like a lock. Tap it to lock your car.
  2. Using the touchscreen display: If you are inside your Tesla, you can lock it using the touchscreen display. Simply tap the "Controls" icon on the bottom bar of the screen, then tap the lock icon to lock the car.
  3. Using the key fob: If you have a key fob for your Tesla, you can lock the car by pressing the lock button on the fob. The lock button is usually located on the top of the fob, and it looks like a closed padlock.

It's important to note that when you lock your Tesla, all doors, the trunk, and any other openings will be locked as well. Additionally, some Tesla models have a feature called "Walk-Away Lock" that will automatically lock the car once you walk away from it with the key fob out of range.
