This includes, but is not limited to…

  • Care assistants or care workers in residential homes, nursing homes, or those providing domiciliary care (care in the client's home).
  • Social workers and social care support workers who provide support and services to help people live more independently.
  • Personal assistants who work directly for individuals needing support due to age, disability, or illness.
  • Employees of registered care agencies that provide staff to care homes and individuals needing care and support.

The eligibility extends to those who are employed by organisations recognised and regulated to provide social care services.

This should include both public and private sector employees. The key requirement is that the individual's role is directly connected to care provision within the social care sector.
